Unforgettable experience in the Jungle 6 Days / 5 Nights


In this tour we will travel through the mountains to enter the cloud forest, where we do some walks to observe various species of birds, orchids and perhaps monkeys. After spending the night in our private shelter (Paradise) the next day we will continue our visit to the native community Shintuya, where we will have the opportunity to spend the night in the Amarakayri camp, visit to hot springs and trek in the jungle, the next day we visited to the hostel Picaflor in Boca Manu. In the afternoon we take an evening stroll to observe spiders (tarantulas), insects, frogs and snakes. Continuing with the trip we will have the opportunity to explore the area of blanquillo (macaws collpa), our return will be from Blanquillo to Colorado by motorized boat and from Colorado to Cusco by minibus, optional return by Puerto Maldonado via Avion.


DAY 1: CUSCO – Paradise Lodge

In the morning I pick up from your Hotel in Cusco at 6:00 a.m. in our all-terrain vehicle to travel through Andean mountains, beautiful landscapes, rural folk communities like Paucartambo and Ninamarca (chullpas or funerary tombs) that belong to the pre-Inca culture LUPACAS. Then we climb the last mountain to reach Acjanaco, entrance to the MANU NATIONAL PARK, from where we descend to the leafy cloud forest which hosts a great variety of flora and fauna. Being an ideal place for epiphytes, orchids, broméelas, etc. At 3 p.m. we will take a walk inside the cloud forest to appreciate the Peruvian National Bird, the colorful Cock of the Rocks in their dance ritual of mating, as well as toucans, trogons, quetzales, monkeys and with luck the spectacled bear of South America (Tremantus ornatos) . Overnight at our comfortable lodge.


Early in the morning we awaken under the song of the birds and walk in the high Amazon forest, visiting agricultural plantations of coca, yucca and other products originating from the place. On the way to the tourist port of Atalaya we will observe a great variety of bird species, squirrel monkeys, lazy bear and we will continue in our vehicle 2 hours more to the native village of Shintuya and soon we will board our comfortable and equipped boat. To start descending the serpentine high river Madre de Dios towards the Amarakaery camp site. Where we will enjoy a beautiful hike to the sacred catara of the Amarakaery tribe and then refresh ourselves in hot medicinal waters.

Swimming and fishing in the rivers and using the hammocks in the lodge is free and safe for all our visitors.


Very early in the morning we embark in the direction of the very small collpa (clay wall with mineral salt content) of the place, where hundreds of loud parrots, parrots and small macaws or parrots gather to ingest the clay as a final diet for their detoxification. A spectacular bird show.

When evening arrives, it’s time to prepare for a fabulous activity inside the Amazon rainforest, we will begin to explore the trails in search of wild pigs called peccaries, owls and a good amount of nocturnal creatures.
The walks or nocturnal activities are possible every night, which will be at the disposal of the organization of our guides.


At first light we will go to one of the most beautiful lakes of Manu (Cocha Blanco) with the help of a catamaran and a telescope we will observe a wide variety of monkey birds, immense black caimans and the great family of giant otters (Pteronura brasilensis ), this endangered species can be seen swimming, fishing, eating or playing among the members of your family.
In the middle of the afternoon it will be time to start a 3-hour walk inside the primary forest, which is adorned by huge giant trees from where the impressive lianas hang. We then head to the sheltered platform very close to the mammal clay lick, a high clay site mineral salts that attract the largest terrestrial mammal of the Amazon: the tapir, deer, monkeys and peccaries wild pigs, ideal place for the observation and photography of these mammals. Tonight we spend the night in Camping Tents with all the equipment on the platform.


After a healthy breakfast is time to pack our equipment to board our boat and sail for an hour to our next lake: Piranha there we have 3 hours of full activity to appreciate and photograph the different species of lake birds, fish and small reptiles.
In the middle of the afternoon we head to the town of Colorado. To spend our last night in the Amazon. A great typical dinner with exotic drinks from the Amazon.


Day return to the city of Cusco, on the way we will make interesting stops to see up close the snowy Ausangate a peak with a perpetual glacial that reaches 6300. m.s.n.m. the service ends with the transfer to your respective hotel in Cusco.
The service can also end in the city of Puerto Maldonado and that same day you can take your flight to the city of Lima or Cusco.
