Cultural Zone 3 Days / 2 Nights
In this tour we travel through the mountains to enter the cloud forest, where we do some walks to observe many species of birds, orchids and monkeys. Overnight at the lodge paradise. Next day we continue 3 hours by bus and 1 hour by boat to soga de oro lodge in the jungle, visit lake machuwassi a perfect place to see the prehistoric bird (opisthocomus hoazín), walks in the rainforest to see wild life and nocturnal walk. Next day, the parrots clay lik to see the activity of many species of parrot, wacamayos and return through the cloud forest to cusco.
DAY 1: CUSCO THE HOSTEL PARAISO
5:00 am We will pick you up from your hotel by private bus. During the trip, the bus stops at interesting places such as beautiful landscapes, rural folk communities like Paucartambo and Ninamarca (chullpas or funerary tombs) that belong to the pre-Inca LUPACAS culture. Then climb the last mountain to reach Acjanaco, the highest step on this road is 4000 masl.
The entrance to the MANU NATIONAL PARK, from where we will descend to the leafy cloud forest which hosts a great variety of flora and fauna. DAY 2: PARADISE THE GOLDEN SOGA LODGE:
After an early breakfast we continued our bus trip to the tourist port of Atalaya stopping on the way to see the place of the orchids. From Atalaya we embark on a one hour trip down the river in a motorized canoe 15 meters along the Alto Madre de Dios River. We have the opportunity to see wildlife along the river’s rocky shores, such as Fasciated Tiger Herons, Purplish Jays, Skimmers and some of the monkey species that live in Manu. Upon arrival at the HOSTEL we will have our lunch. In the afternoon we will have an introductory walk to explore some of the trails and visit the lake Machuwasi where we will raft exploring the lake, here you can see the prehistoric bird Hoatzin, a variety of colorful birds, monkeys and capybaras etc. At night it is possible to see Caymans. The night is spent in the hostel. Optional night walk (to see insects, frogs, snakes, etc.)
DAY 3: GOLDEN SOGA HOSTEL – PARROT CLAY LICK – CUSCO:
Very early in the morning we embark in the direction of the small parrot collpa that is located ten minutes down the river (clay wall with mineral salts) very important of the place, where many noisy parrots, parrots and small macaws or parrots eat the clay as final diet for your detoxification. And that helps digestion of the stomach which is the reason why hundreds of parakeets and small macaw parrots come to this particular place.
